The first release of the art academy's label STADL Records brings together the results of two workshops.

Under the direction of Felix Kubin, side A comprises of sound miniatures dealing with the theme of "Futuristic Kitchen Music" and having the length and conciseness of short pop pieces. The one-week workshop didn't require any prior musical knowledge and therefore allowed a free-amateurish access to sound art. The aim was to produce kitchen noise compositions which varied greatly in form and approach, and didn't exceed the length of 5 minutes. The character of the pieces ranged from pure noise to fine dynamic progressions to technoid structures.

The B-side is a sound installation of ten individual sound recordings, which are presented as a single piece. Each participating artist brought a sound source. The recording was arranged following the "Mexican Mariachi Principle": loud sounds in the background, silent sounds in the foreground. The sound sources were played and recorded simultaneously using a binaural microphone and a DAT recorder.
